"Technology should enable strategy not become the strategy."

Chris Jennings, Founder & Managing Partner, TeamShield Group

The challenge

Connectivity is as critical as power or water. Getting it is slow, complex, and fragmented.

Prospects tour with their phones out, checking signal before they ask about parking. The traditional tenant fit-out process turns that moment into a liability.

Dark spec suites

Without a network in place, new tenants face weeks of ISP and integrator coordination before they can open the doors. Vacancy lasts longer than it should.

Dead zones and dropped calls

Garages, cores, and basements kill cell service. Traditional DAS projects can run into seven figures and take a year or more.

Capex cliffs

Network hardware ages out on a cycle. Refreshes land in the capital plan as surprises and compete with every other building priority.

Vendor sprawl

Multiple ISPs, cabling contractors, integrators, and MSPs. When something breaks, nobody owns it and your property team takes the call.

Unsecured building systems

Access control, cameras, HVAC, and BMS all ride the network. Flat, unmonitored networks put tenants and operations at risk.

The Meter solution

Meter makes your building's network a utility. TeamShield Group delivers it locally.

Meter designs, builds, and runs the full network stack. As Meter's #1 channel partner in New England, TeamShield Group delivers, secures, and supports it for the owners and tenants who depend on it.

Product

Vertically integrated hardware and software for performance, reliability, and security.

What TeamShield Group brings: security and AI

A connected building is a target. Run it like one.

Meter's network ships with a zero trust architecture: blocked ingress ports and inter-VLAN traffic denied by default, encrypted tunnels, guest isolation, and modern authentication. TeamShield Group builds the security program around it.

OT and BMS segmentation

Keep HVAC, access control, cameras, and elevators isolated from tenant traffic.

Tenant isolation

Each tenant on its own secure network, with guest access separated.

Detection and response

SOC/MDR options so someone is watching the network at 2 AM.

AI on clean data

Building and network data, governed and ready for analytics and AI operations.

The AEGIS Method

TeamShield Group's framework for adopting AI safely and with measurable value, on top of your Meter network.

FAQ

Questions owners ask us.

Is there an upfront cost?

No upfront hardware purchase. Meter's subscription covers hardware, software, security, ISP management, support, and installation for one monthly fee. For eligible vacant suites, pre-installation is free for landlords, with no carry cost while the suite is vacant.

Can tenants still choose their own internet provider?

Yes. Meter Network is ISP agnostic. Tenants can use any provider, or Meter can help them select one.

What if a tenant does not want the pre-installed network?

Meter removes its hardware at no cost. There is no upfront or carry cost while the suite is vacant, so the owner carries no risk.

Which spaces qualify for pre-installation?

Whitebox, second-gen, and move-in ready or spec suites of 5,000 to 30,000 sq ft, in buildings of 50,000+ sq ft. Core and shell space does not qualify, but those tenants can be referred directly to Meter. The program is free for landlords for a limited introductory period.

How long does pre-installation take?

About 6 weeks on average from contract signing to installation. A 10,000 sq ft suite typically takes 2-3 business days to install.

How does Meter Cellular compare to DAS?

Meter Cellular uses neutral-host technology that supports all three major carriers and runs over a single Ethernet cable, with no coaxial build-out or large equipment rooms. Meter cites deployment in weeks versus a year or more for active DAS, at a monthly cost.

Does this touch our base building systems?

Meter's suite installs are designed with no impact to base building systems. Where building systems do connect, TeamShield Group segments and secures them.

Who supports the network day to day?

Meter provides proactive monitoring and support. TeamShield Group is your local Meter partner for managed IT, cybersecurity, and on-site coordination. Tenant IT teams that want control can co-manage.

What does the Building Network Assessment include?

A complimentary review of one building covering tenant connectivity, cellular coverage, network and building system security, and capex-to-opex impact, delivered as a one-page scorecard.
